The authors of the bible did not believe in an immortal soul that persists after death. Rather, they hoped and longed for the day when God would resurrect all life and return the world back to paradise. Death, as a result, was often seen as “sleeping” because the next waking moment would be with God. The only question was whether one died in faith or not.
Oh death where is you sting oh grave where is thy victory the sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law but thanks be to God which giveth our victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Very deep subject and I appreciate your thorough seeking of the scripture.
I also am a huge fan of Ecclesiastes I listen to it once everyday.
Thanks again for a great listen. God is so good and has a perfect plan for us all.
