“He who increases knowledge increases sorrow.”

As I increase my knowledge of God & His ways & listen to Tudor’s eschatological views and interpretations, I find my sorrow increases for those who are ignorant of such things. As I watch family members fill their void with folly, I feel sorrow for their futile attempts. The knowledge & discernment of Truth seems to bring a godly sorrow. Not sure that makes sense to anyone else.

It makes perfect sense to me Linda!

I get it. My sorrow heightens further while attempting to share these truths but they'd rather believe what the world has taught them.

"He who increases knowledge

Increases sorrow."

I like that but I'll have to think about exactly why I do.

Possibly because it is true in your own life, as it is for all of us, and we feel ‘good’ upon hearing truths.

Thanks Adryanna, but I think it also may mean falsehoods or bad knowledge. Truths do not bring "sorrow". Like all that NASA fake knowledge that leads to the picture of our lonely planet and emptiness.

But knowledge of God should bring Joy, no?

I love the Book of Ecclesiastes. Just re read it recently and discovered how much i enjoy it. It in my opinion is a beautiful reminder of Gods sovereignty and of course there are some beautiful typological examples of christ.there are so many incredible examples of these things of course throughout the bible. but this book in particular i really enjoy. Thanks again for this and thanks be to God!

Complete virgin snow this is for me Tudor. Glad it was you.

I could have done a great deal worse for a first acquaintance. Elegant, coherently narrated, already on a loop.

I have listened to your end times series and Christian nationalism videos. I think you are right, we are at the end of the end. I'm filled with so much dread, that I'm starting to believe I'm not saved (and therefore can't be saved). I've been panicking about this for a few days. I love someone who isn't saved. I've prayed for the Lord to open his eyes but there has been no change, I ask the Lord for help to do His Will if He wants me to leave because I'm too weak to it myself and I haven't gotten an answer. I'm sorry to come on here and rant like an insane person I just have no other believers in my life. I'm scared I'm deceived and that I'll fall away.

Hi Elizabeth, do not be scared. Instead edify yourself with what God has said about salvation and the gospel. Those who come to Jesus in faith do so because God has given them the ability to. Therefore God will preserve you because it is His name as the Savior that is given as a guarantee. See my encouragement section for some great tracks on these things.

As far as your relationship - if you are not married then this is something you need to address because living in sin together is not good. If you are married, then this is a challenge to deal with through prayer and edifying yourself in the gospel. We don't know who God will choose to save and He has a different time for everyone. So the best we can do is pray and try and leave the rest to God.
